Stickers on the toolbox
« on: February 21, 2023, 09:13:51 PM »
Do you or don't you prefer them?

I debated about this years ago, but one sticker I was given, could have lead to a bunch of legal trouble.  I am not sure if it still could or not, really.

When I was MUCH younger I was a no sticker guy. But as I've aged, stickers have adhered themselves on all sides.

Wanted, what sticker could have gotten you in legal trouble?

I have seen some great stickers on tool boxes.  One of my favorites was, Finish your beer, there are sober kids in India :))

On older boxes its great to see stickers from 30 years ago.  Some old brands and old places that evoke good memories.

On newer boxes, I tend to remove them before selling.  Older boxes they stay put.

It's a military sticker, for a device I think we signed a treaty and no longer use, but am unsure of that or the consequences of having it.

It's an official sticker for a device you think maybe you're not supposed to have , or just a sticker referencing the item ?

I never made a strong effort to add stickers to my boxes in the past but that has changed.  Every so often I now go on ebay and buy a few vintage reproduction racing stickers like those found on the 1/4 mile cars back in the day.
Most are smaller than the original decal sizes but the graphic reproductions are spot on. One of these days when I get around to it I am going to go crazy and plaster them on everything out there!  :lol_hitting:

Stickers get the Goo-Gone treatment.....unless they're covering a rust hole!   :))

I put stickers on magnetic sheets, so I can take'em off if I get tired of'em.

Hard to resist the urge to stick stickers, they're made for sticking.  I put a lot on my lift.  Easy enough to remove them with heat gun and goo b gone if need be.

That is smart, I do the same thing with labels for my tool displays.  Every time I sell a box, I have to take the tools out and put in another box, pull the mag label off and put on new box.
