I find it interesting that pocket and keychain pry bars took so long to become a thing.
The mini standard pry bars have been around the past 20 years or so, and the mini pocket handle pry bars like this have only been around a few years.
Before you had the Sears 4way style keychain screwdriver, Craftsman pocket screwdriver among others, various can / bottle openers, the p38 / p51, the classic Proto type keychain screwdriver, paint can openers ,and the ubiquitous Alexander pocket screwdriver.
All these things you could easily carry on you, could be used to pry with, and you wouldn't worry about because they were often dirt cheap if not free.
It amazes me that it took so long for somebody to decide there should be something actually intended specifically for prying.
