At one time I owned a 1950 Stude and a 1950 Merc.  They were the about the exact opposite colors as those shown in this photo.

Which one did you like better and which one was faster? I  am betting the Ford was faster.
You boys better hold on cause I'm gonna have to stand on it!

Actually they were both 'beaters'.  But the flathead was faster than the six in the Studey.  The Studebaker was my first car and the only car I made a profit on.  Bought it in 1961 for $15.  Drove it a few months and junked it for $20.  I thought car trading was easy money.  Oh well.

MAGA

If you can’t fix it with a hammer, it must be electrical.

I believe that beer truck is electric.

I was reading about some of the old delivery trucks were originally DC powered.

Yes, the original caption on the beer truck photo said it was electric.

The rancher filling the water bag kind of got me.   The plates say" Montana 1949, his coupe is about 1937, rather old for a road trip even then, and the boys riding in the trunk,, with a trunk, guess it was doable then.    The shop pic with the Ford T, obiously colorized, the white tires would have disappeared before WWI, and the car is an early 20s,  hope the hook on the  chain hoist was hefty enough.

The Great White Fleet, the popular name for the group of United States Navy battleships that completed a journey around the globe from December 16, 1907, to February 22, 1909, entered Auckland Harbour on 9 August 1908 having sailed from Hawaii. They stayed for a week departing for Sydney, Australia on 15 August.
