Got my Blue Bird battery carrier in today, along with a pair of Herbrand terminal clamp pliers. Will get this puppy cleaned up and painted, ready for use!

Here's my BB battery carrier all spiffed up.
My only modern concession was putting a piece of rubber fuel line on the crossbar of the handle. Thin handles tend to hurt my hands these days, "cutting" into the joints when picking up heavy objects (like a car battery). The larger diameter helps, and well as a bit of cushioning, too.
