Have you been vaccinated?

Lookin4_67GalaxieConv:
Curious to know if you've gotten the vaccination yet, and if so, have you suffered any symptoms?  The consensus seems to be if you have any issues, it's after the 2nd shot.

I haven't yet, myself.  Still gathering information and want to know what short term effects there may be.  I know a lot of frontline healthcare workers didn't get the vaccine in the beginning and am wondering if that's changed?

I am pretty sure I am going to get it, Mama was a definite no but is considering

DeadNutz:
I have been with the Moderna. The specialist that I am seeing told me point blank if you get Covid you are dead. I had to weigh the odds of dying from Covid or the Vaccine and I feel the choice is a purely personal one for a person to make. I was hesitant until my sister who has a PhD in nursing directed me to watch a doctor breakdown and explain really well how the vaccine functions. She and her husband got the vaccine long before me and they are older and fine after getting it.

After the first shot I could feel where I got it for about a day and then that went away. After the 2nd shot it was about the same and so far I have shown no other side effects even though I am truly compromised health wise right now. Will I regret getting it? Who knows but I am going forward with life and working on getting back to 100%.

i have had my shots and  i had the moderna. the first shot was the last week in december and the follow up one month later. almost everyone in my family has been vaccinated with no ill effects.

i don't take much stock in anyone who tries to tell you how most people react. i have talked to at least 100 people in depth about their reaction and have heard it all. some  feel bad right away, some the next morning and some 24 -36 hours later. some never at all. some run a low grade fever for a few hours, some for a day or 2 and some not at all. some have no effect on the first shot, some on both, some no effect on the second and some no effect at all.

my wife, my mother, my  oldest  and youngest son and i have all had moderna and every one of us reacted different.

my wife (55)ran a low grade fever and felt sick for about 6 hours the day after both.

my mom (91) went home and slept for about 24 hours after each one but never was sick.

my son (26) felt crappy for for about 36 hours on both.

my son (21) felt run down but has only had his first shot so far.

i  (55) was tired and slept all day, 2 days after each one.

my mom was not known to have covid but the rest of us did. my oldest son was quite sick for about 5 days. my wife showed very few symptoms. mostly sore throat and sinus pressure. my youngest son and i have antibodies but don't know exactly when we had it.

what am i trying to say?  everyone and i mean everyone reacts different.  for me the deciding factor is this. i know people who died from covid. i know people who were very ill from covid. i know people who still have not fully recovered from covid and more than likely never will. i bet most of us do. i don't know of anyone who has had serious, long  lasting side effect from the any of the vaccines.

is it 100% safe or effective? nope, but what is? life is full of choices and chances and at the end of the day you have to make choices and take chances or you don't have much of life.

only you can decide what is best for you but i am happy with choices we have made.

Nope, nope, and nope. The Mrs. and I are not getting the "vaccine" because we are not sure of it's efficacy or safety. I take reasonable precautions but am not going to hide in a dungeon because I might catch the virus. And if they mandate a vaccine passport then I'm definitely NOT getting the shot.

My primary sent a letter out saying it was safe, and he and his whole family had gotten it. This from the guy who complains about my triglycerides, and - after I drop them 78% with diet alone - all he can say is "they're still too high". I'm seriously considering dumping the doctor.
Ads on TV and radio are constantly pushing everyone to get vaccinated. Hollywood celebs and the most political figures are always pushing it. Just like other fake or garbage items - if they are so good why would you need to push them?

I've read about the science behind the "vaccine" and though I am no expert too much sounds rushed and fishy. I know people have died from the flu vaccine but geez too many people have gotten really bad effects or died from this shot. I'm not taking the risk.
