I've seen the white lab coats in early CAT service literature. Tracked tractors, grease, heavy parts....yeah....that'l stay white for a few minutes. ;)

Neat photos. I noticed the Mercedes ? star in the Ford grill. That's a 46/47 Hudson chassis they're training on.
Those were " modern " shops back then. Clean was for when you ran out of work and didn't want to be sent home.

.... I pondered that as well, but I think the center hub just fell out or broke off, and someone just put a star in there. It sure looks like a 50's Ford grill, but the star is confusing
