Long forgotten tools
« on: April 17, 2021, 08:04:21 PM »
I found these tools in a box I packed away in 1977. When I was teaching SCUBA diving I managed a dive shop and did all the regulator and tank valve servicing and repair. These tools were required to do the work and they are a modified Proto 9808, Williams 45A spanner and Excelite 3/32 ball driver. The box also contained regulator and valve parts so I need to find somebody who needs these 60's and 70's repair parts.

Were those used to service the "J" and "K" valves on SCUBA Tanks DN?

Yes and I believe one use of the big Proto was to change the overpressure burst disc on the valves. After so many years I would need to look in the repair manuals to remember how exactly I used these tools.

I, too, am considering selling my HVAC spare tools and gauges as I have more than I need for personal use and the shop is just too full. Too bad most everyone I talk to about doing A/C can't find enough quality technicians - no one wants to work that hard I guess.
