Good bye shop helper
« on: April 26, 2021, 04:41:35 PM »
Sad news as I had to have our shop helper put down today. He got real lethargic yesterday and the vet said he might have a fist sized tumor on his spleen bleeding and that was why he was so pale.
He was 13-1/2 years old and we had a great 9 years together. He will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear this.

They sure have a way of claiming a place in your heart.

Thanks for the kind words guys. It was tough coming home this evening from dinner and errands and no dog to greet us. We don't plan on getting another right away just as we are taking a break from horses.

I am very sorry for your loss, but hopefully a new 4 legged best friend finds you in due time.
We may say we're done, but life just isn't the same without a dog and eventually a new one will find you.
I'm not sure I'd want to live in a world where they didn't exist.
My best friend past on December 1st at 16 giving me 14 excellent years, and it was truly one of the very worst days I've ever had.
Now I have a 7 month old puppy who's a real handful but a great companion.

Buttercup was barely gone a week and I didn't think I was ready but my old man got pepper for mr for my birthday and it's been a great but crazy 5 months.

That was the toughest week of my life I can remember, I don't know how many times I went looking for her and she wasn't there.
I even threw away a bunch of my favorite snack foods because she loved them too and I just couldn't eat any of it without her there to share with.

Elroy read this post earlier, That's too bad.

A good dog is a blessing and truly mans best friend. They give and take love without reservations or limitation. Rest comfortably with that knowledge my friend.

Hey Less keep your chin up, fill the void. Just think a new puppy is out there in need of a good home, what a great gift for the both of you, 3 of you.
