Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

Looks great but how the heck can they be walking on it as being installed and not leave footprints?

It’s a pretty cool process but like painting a car. Substrate prep is essential for good outcomes.

Phil. They use cleats   Long spike cleats

Those floors look great.

I used the Rustoleum 2-part epoxy on the shop floor and it came out pretty good. I did not use the decorative flakes on the finish as I felt that it would make it hard to find tiny black screws dropped on the floor. The flakes do act as anti-skid so I have to be careful if my shoes are wet. The prep work like scrubbing the floor and then etching the concrete with the included stuff and rinsing and drying the floor took a lot longer than the application. If you ever use this stuff make sure that every gallon or package is the same lot number. I got 1 box that was a different lot number and it rolled out a slightly different shade of gray and the working time was short and I couldn't use it all. I took it back to HD and got a new box in exchange.

It has held up very well for 10yrs but has a few stains where stuff has sat and dripped some oil. I would use it again unless there is a better system that doesn't cost a fortune. Somebody had painted the garage floor at one time and while it has held up ok some areas are not so nice.
