We've got snow!

Last weeks storm dropped a dusting of snow. Last nights storm left 1-2 inches! Now I know for you seasoned winter folks that ain't much - but for us desert dwellers it makes for one scary commute! I was planning on going to our local monthly thrift sale but rushhour traffic with bad roads is making me think I'll wait till later.

Here's some shots I grabbed with the camera - our backyard tree and some views up and down our street.

Shoot, you got more snow than we did in all of February. Pretty odd for Ohio.

You sure you are not dehydrated to be seeing water everywhere in a dessert?

We're getting the southern edge of the blizzards that have been hitting California. At least our mountains are getting a good covering. Hopefully it'll help reduce the wildfire danger this spring.

Wow. For us non snow guys, if it turns the ground white it’s a major event.

In 07 we had a foot of snow for Christmas. My first ever white Christmas. Only had snow 3 times in my 57 years here.

Winters are what make Tucson famous. rarely do we get bad winter weather while most of the rest of the country is socked in under feet of snow. \
I think we dropped to 17 degrees back in 2013. Hardest freeze I can remember in my 40 years here.
A neighbor and myself had frozen pipes, and her external pipe burst. Had to get the Mrs hair dryer and a 100 foot extension cord to warm up her main valve enough for me to turn it off. Got a plate of brownies the next day as reward!

We haven't had any snow this year other then some flurries. 

Figures, I had 4 nice snowblowers to sell and only sold one

Gas will be drained and will try again next year

you hear why the male snowmen were so excited ? They heard the snowblower coming.... Lol

This what my front yard has looked like most of the winter.

That's actually more than we've gotten all year here in PA.  We've had a few coverings that lasted less then 24 hrs

After the warmest winter I can remember we have had 2 ft in the last week. The ground was close to bear before this week happened.
