i get the drills, extractors and sleeves for the extractors but what are the round tubes/sleeves for?

For those that do not know, these are about the most effective easy outs you will ever use. I have a smaller less impressive set of Rigid branded ones of the same style that I have found most effective in application.

I just thought I would put in my endorsement for this style for those that might be interested but are on the fence.
