Any cigar smokers on the GG?

Montecristo Platinum in Toro. When I first bought them they tasted OK to me, but nothing great. They’ve been stuck in the
humidor bottom drawer for over a year. Well, the time in storage did wonders for this stick. Smooth and creamy sweet wood/floral taste.
Nice!!!

How big is your humidor and what will it hold?

About 400 cigars - I also have an airtight Tupperware box in the basement where I age about 200 Cubans in a dark stable 60 degree environment. They won’t get opened more than once/twice a year just to check condition.

Do you keep notes or a log of when cigars went in or your impressions?
People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.

Yes - I have a small handwritten log that I keep to record purchase date, price, and my personal tasting preferences. Not a exhaustive effort, but good enough to keep me from ordering cigars that I considered just average or sub-par.

Thanks GF as that probably explains why I never had a good cigar in my life.

Perfect “every day” cigar. Flor de Oliva Maduro leaf in Robusto. For a budget cigar it is a winner. It puts a lot of $10 sticks to shame.

Celebrated with an old friend last night. Arturo Fuente Robano Gran Reserva. This is a beautifully constructed mild/medium floral cigar with Dominican tobacco. Definitely worth the price.

Cleaned up the house AC condenser unit and compressor. Took the fan out and vacuumed all the debris out of the bottom, and cleaned the contactor just for good measure. Finally put a coat of paint on the top fan housing and now it’s ready for AC season.

I felt like having a good cigar, so I opted for a four year old Romeo y Julieta Cuban Cazadores. A great full bodied cigar.

One more humidor gem I forgot about. Punch Knuckle Buster in Toro. Sweet hay and cedar aroma and taste.

Smoked this one a while back on my B-Day. Great mild/medium earthy and dried fruit taste. Dave Blanco created these for the Cigar Obsession YouTube community - excellent cigar.

Cleaned out all the gutters today. I’m feeling my age, and it’ll probably be the last time I’m going to attempt it. Old guys aren’t meant to dance across steep roofs - no more!! Time to pay someone else to do it-  LOL

I’ve earned this one - Questa-Rey Centenario in Torpedo

No gas our area of northern Virginia. I was able to fill up the family fleet last week, but everything is now pretty much dry - except for diesel; which seems to still be available. Time to sit back and not get too wound up about it - smoking a smooth RP Martinique in Toro.

Hope your week is going well!

Started out pretty bad - super light draw and won’t stay lit. The flavors went from sweet floral tobacco to harsh burning hay and bitter coffee in short order. Not my kind of cigar - time to end this fiasco.

You get a dud every now and then -

Much better - Blanco Primo Maduro in Toro.
