Still a good deal -- Craftsman "T" handles
« on: August 13, 2018, 10:10:13 PM »
Who says Sears doesn't source good tools anymore. Useful for plugs, body fasteners, as a small breaker bar, and tight access. The spinner handle is adjustable and smooth as silk -- fasteners just glide off with this tool -- better than many a speed handle; in my opinion.

I also like to put on a 1/4"-3/8" drive adapter and use it with 3/8 drive sockets --

It's not a "must have" tool, and it is made in China, but it is made of quality steel, excellent chrome, and good bearings in the handle. I used the included driver bits with this tool, but I prefer a traditional driver handle for that purpose. That said, the bits are good quality and can be used with many other tools and handles.

Overall, for $20 -- this is a great little "add-on" to my 1/4" drive collection

I agree, those are great. I use mine all the time. I love them for putting oil pans and valve covers on.

I don't really use speed handles, and I probably wouldn't use that T-handle driver, either. To each his own I guess.

Elroy would also advise that these "speed-T's" were available in both 1/4  AND 3/8 drive

I used to use both back in the day. Now I've got enough air and cordless tools that I never use manual speeders.

I just picked up a pair 1/4 and 3/8 from my buddy who worked at Dannaher.  I had never seen those before with the adjustable free spinning handle in Cman.  I agree, very nicely made.

For certain assembly jobs, those would be great.  Some fasteners you want to "feel" them going in.  Hard to feel with a power tool

When you figure out the asking price please let me know Phil.

Our "hometown sears" store is closing.   as of last night they had them listed in stock... I may go and see if they have any once they open this morning.

Just order it online -- it's pretty cheap right now ---$18.69

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-14-piece-mach-series-t-handle-driver/p-00950014000P

1/4" set is $14.44

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-17-piece-mach-t-handle-driver/p-00948025000P?rrec=true

I use the 1/4" set the most because of space limitations in the cars I work on.

Good luck!!

I put the head back on the 800 Ford today, just for grins, I used the 3/8 T handle exclusively. Worked pretty slick

I think that is a perfect application for a tee handle, you can feel the bolt all the way in

I have the 1/4” version and really like it. There is also a Kobalt one that looks the same.
