Something about the canopy and tail section that reminds me of the P-51.

Turbo props can achieve a steep angle of attack, gaining altitude rapidity .

 These lite aircraft look like they will hall ass and snap around the sky pretty quick.

Ideas for these type of of aircraft have been tried for many years. Piper even tried modifying P-51D Mustangs into the Enforcer which nobody went for. They say these aircraft will be cost effective for counter insurgency missions but don't talk about the cost in aircrew lives lost. A twin engine airplane has greater survivability than a single engine airplane in COIN use. The A-10 Warthog has the best record in close air support and we need an upgraded version produced.
