A fine day at the Restore.
« on: June 25, 2019, 06:04:46 PM »
I had to run out to the real electrical supply store today, as I need to replace a 40/40 quad breaker for my dryer. On the way home I stopped by the local restore as it is in the neighborhood (not really) And as it was morning, the savages had not made it to the tool bins. So this is what found:

Snap-on Ferret T-bar from WWII, Irwin 12" driver - dirty but with a perfect tip, Lufkin 9" tri-square, and Plomb, Proto LA, and Krauter 1/4" sockets. All for $1.88.

I thought the Lufkin was cut down to nine inches, but it starts at 0 on both sides! Anyways, this is the sort of thing that keeps me coming back.

Nice, the restores up here have crack pricing.
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

Jabber, the two in Tacoma aren't bad, pricing wise.

Muddy, Habitat for Humanity has stores that they sell donated stuff at. Some are good, and some are, as Lauver would say, Donkey Dick. You just have to check them out.

Great score for less than $2, I love Lufkin measuring devices.
My first tape was a keychain Lufkin and they hold a soft spot for me.
Always lookin' to learn

The Restore here has a new Manager. Went in and was searching through the Socket bins. He came by and told me that cheap stuff was as good as the rest. He said don't believe me. So I dig around 10 Sockets out of the 25 cent Bin. I go up to pay he looks them over and tells me Those are good American ones there a Dollar each. I told him they were in the 25cent bin he tells me nope a Dollar each. Left them on the counter haven't been back.
