Oh boy, you're going to have some fun with that.... get a cheap lazy susan and spin the model as you paint.

Not really a tool. But picked up this airbrush and compressor kit from HF. I know it's not the greatest out there, but it'll get my foot in the door and some practice under my belt.

Picked up a tamaya painting stand for about 20 bucks. At hobby lobby.

I'm waiting on some retarder and flow improver  and primer in the mail. (I'm going to make my own thinner and cleaner.)

But this weekend might be some test spray.

In my younger days I used to airbrush. Mostly album covers onto T-shirts. I think the brand of brush I used was Paasche.
I picked up a Paasche model H off eBay for $20 it's from the 70s. All the research I did guys said it a great starter brush and guys have been using the same one for 30 yrs.

Lift Phil's shop and move it a bit closer to me so I can buy more tools.

Wanted a M18 cordless die grinder, but couldn't justify the bucks ($175ish bare) for something I don't use all that often. This was 1/3rd the price and will do just fine most of the time.

Epstein to the rescue! I’ve lost a few of my small dykes and last week was dismayed that I only have one pair left. A quick look on H.J.Es website found these US made Pro America examples for a great price of $12. IIRC Pro America used to be KAL TOOLS, and they made some decent stuff - much of it for government contracts.

Nice and smooth little pliers for about half the price of Channellock.

How do they cut ?
Channellock has their XLT pivot that increases the cutting power, but in small sizes It's not always a noticeable difference.

All their pliers I've seen look pretty decent, but it's such a shame that they're no longer making wrenches.
Always lookin' to learn

No difference in cutting performance when compared to my Channellock pair.

I have a cheap Taiwanese pair in one of my car tool boxes, and these are way better. I was just down to one pair of good cutters in my main box.
These will do fine.

Pneumatic is still my 1st choice. Best power to weight/size bar none. Sometimes you just don't have air where you need it though to run a burr or knot end brush.
