I know hard to believe .........

Kind of ironic that the very early yellow/orange jacks, presses, and stands were some of their best sellers and also most reliable. Then came the cheaper gray painted lines and the quality went downhill from there. The stands aren't the only problem, many of the 12 and 20 ton presses were poorly welded and used very poor quality channel steel.

When the senior Smidt ran the show, he sourced mostly from Taiwan and trusted PRC Chinese sources -- the yellow/orange equipment was mostly of decent quality.
