How's your weather?
« on: November 08, 2020, 11:13:36 AM »
Good news as we finally got our first precipitation in well over 2 months. The only problem is the forecast called 0 to 3" of snow and we are at 6"+ and it is still snowing. This is a great start for our snowpack in the Sierras as they were supposed to get at 12" but will have more if what we got is any indication. Also burn season will now be starting and can also target shoot out on the BLM land without fear of starting a fire.

Finally finally the heat wave has broken! Feels like November. It's been so hot and dry - even the cactus are looking bad! And they're a native species! :-\ At this time they should have swollen paddles with lots of new spuds. Instead they are sickly looking, and we've had to cut alot of dead/dying stalks off of the night bloomer

Turning off my A/C for the year. It's got to be the longest summer of A/C in 10 years. From June 20th to November 5th.  :91:

Now I can start to putz around in the shop and do some long overdue projects.

Here in Western New York it's been in the high 60's to low 70's. It should be in the mid 40's.

Great weather - mid 70s last few days. I enjoy the warm fall days the most. I can work on my cars and keep the garage doors open. Drink coffee and have a cigar between breaks. Life is good! Hope everyone is doing well.

Just cleaning up from a freezing rain storm.  Power off for 2 days for me, and 5000 homes in this rural county.  Finally got good use of my little generator.  Tree limbs took out the power lines,  blocked my driveway.   Darn limbs were frozen  down with the ice.  Used my 1942 M Farmall to pull them off the driveway , cut them up later.  A week ago we set a record high temp, 81f.
