My weakness....1/4" drive socket sets...... ;D

Took me a while to complete this Stevens Walden set.

The ridiculously large SW ratchet adapter isn't a part of the set. Even by itself, it's so big, there's no way it could ever fit inside the box.

Nice balancing act...lol.   Obviously, way too much time on my hands.

Side by side comparison with a 1/4" Snappy adapter.

That's an awesome comprehensive set that's pretty compact for what I'm sure it can tackle.

hickory,  I’m pretty sure that this was a cheapie set back in the day, but probably would be OK for ocassional use by the average homeowner.

Digging, your set....hodgepodge works!

JAFE and Cruiser.....your sets haven’t gone unnoticed... very cool...O0 O0

I do have some Plomb stuff but still trying to complete the sets.

Still need a few sockets and a couple pieces to complete this set.

Same box but crinkle finish. Had a pic of the outside but can't find it. I'll try to remember to take a new pic. Still shy a few pieces.

Those are some mighty fine sets there Steve. The crinkle Plomb is stunning and looks complete to me.At least that's how the catalogs show it. What year is is it? Looks like pre-war.    8)

Thanks!

No idea on age. I'll see if I can date some of the pieces. Were the boxes date coded somehow?

I like that toolcraft set, usually the mini ones are bit drivers but it's nice that they saw this one as a standard 1/4" drive ratchet first and foremost.

There should be a number on the pieces. like a 0 or a 1 or a 9....something like that. Plomb stopped numbering after 1942 and used letters during the war years. They never put a date on the boxes, but I'd guess your box is 1939 thru the end of 1941. After that, the boxes were a war time green color until around the end of 1945.
