Goodbye bacon in CA
« on: July 31, 2021, 11:16:11 AM »
Maybe not goodbye but prices up to 50% higher for pork, veal, chicken and eggs come January when the Animal Welfare Act goes into law. The voters approved the act in 2018 which mandates larger pens and cages for the animals in order to sell the product in CA. An example is that a hog farmer will have to enlarge the pens in their hog barn and only fit 250 instead of 300 hogs in the barn. I consider this problem infrastructure and the gov't needs to tell CA to shove it or pay for it instead of you and me though we will in the end.
I wonder how profitable bacon and ham smuggling will be?

Maybe the cartels will smuggle in hams surrounded by freon surrounded by cocaine?   :lol_hitting:

Seriously though, how many of us believe the rich elite will eat one mouthful less pork? It's meant as a control thing, just like everything else gov.

Great -- now besides ammo, hi-cap magazines, and guns, Californians will now have to cross state lines to buy and smuggle pork back to their home cities. At some point even the far left progressives must be shaking their heads in disbelief.

Pretty soon the entire state will be run like a banana republic dictatorship -- unrelenting, corrupt, top--down political control.

Yeah, probably already too late -- I stand corrected! --- Sad ---

The big problem is that every insane thing California implements will trickle down to all the states. I refuse to set foot there again and I can be there in less than 30 minutes.

We're already seeing some of this in Texas. The SPCA of Houston took over a mans cattle herd in Goliad, he was supposedly mistreating them because they had no shed to get in out of the weather. They confiscated his herd and moved it to an unknown location in Fort Bend County. they left three calves behind for the guy to bottle feed. it took him 2 months to get his cows back. And he claimed they were in worse shape then when they were taken. We used to shoot cattle thieves here, maybe we need to go back to doing it again.

It all started with the hippies of the 60's with their protests. Then they became college professors and started indoctrinating the leftist marxist socialist communist doctrines and ideas. It has gone downhill ever since and the ballot harvesting they allow will not enable change.

But would they buy it?
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

Biden is already giving it to them for free. Well actually we are paying for it.

They dont have to buy it, we're just letting them have it.
