FTX debacle
« on: November 17, 2022, 01:44:42 PM »

So, this guy and his cohorts/accomplices managed to horn swaggle billions of dollars and make them disappear. Giving over $40,000,000 to political contenders. My favorite line was where one opponent called for the candidates to give that money back so the investors could get some of theirs back. What a pipe dream.

On a side note, in accordance with W Buffet advice, "Be scared when others are greedy, and Greedy when others are scared." I am ready to look into putting some of my hard earned fiat into some of this imaginary crypto. It has fallen so I feel like I am buying at the "right " time.

Any one else into this crypto and have any advice?

Not exactly on the FTX level but a scammer none the less. Be careful out there with your funds.

Seems like everything in the investment world these days is designed to work like a giant casino . Whether legitimate or illegitimate, "the house" always wins.

I love the principle of crypto. that is, being a decentralized currency independent from gov't manipulation. However, people trying to use it as a get rich quick "investment" has destroyed it's stability. So yes, it has become just another giant scam, which kinds sucks.
