Dodge dealerships are the new "low" in car sales --
« on: January 17, 2024, 09:29:39 AM »
Don't know if you guys are aware of this. Apparently shady Dodge dealerships across the country have been ripping customers off in massive fraud cases where the limited Dodge Demon, Scat Pack, Hellcat, etc. special performance package cars are concerned. It's gotten so bad that Stellantis and Dodge senior leadership have gotten involved directly to stop the negative backlash against Dodge due to the criminal actions of their dealerships.

We're talkin serious fraud and even money laundering when the dealership advertises a special package performance Dodge vehicle at MSRP, but when close to delivery to the customer, they adds at another $100K-$200K in "under the table" fees and off-corporate book financial fraud to skirt their contractual Stellantis dealership sales obligations.

Some customers were sold cars at MSRP, but were charged an additional $75K for lug nuts because that parts category didn't have to be reported to Stellantis. Other "Stealerships" actually required the potential buyer to purchase second car in order to quality for a rare Dodge performance package.

You can't make this shYt up. The reason why the SHTF, and is now a viral online mess for Dodge is that many of the people that were ripped off were active or retired US Armed Forces service personnel and law enforcement.

YouTubers TK Garage and Butter da Insider have been at the spearhead of this effort to ID the dealerships and bring awareness to this active fraud. Watch his entire video series and your blood will boil at the blatant fraud. --- mine sure did.

Dodge and Stellantis are on notice that they better fix it, or there will be a nationwide boycott. The NADA better get on board or the government will step in and curtail their cushy state dealership laws that have kept the outdated car buying process in place for decades.

I'm not a bit surprised. The local Dodge dealership has been ripping people off for years. They did at least $4000 in unnecessary repairs to the ex wifes Durango.

Didn't Ford just have a similiar issue with the new Broncos?

An area Chevrolet dealer has a new Z06 on the showroom floor. They are looking for a $100,000 premium. A neighbor was looking there, heard that and walked out. He went to our local dealer and ordered exactly what he wanted at MSRP. I tried to get him GM Supplier discount (friends & family) but Chevrolet is not honoring that or employee discount on new Corvettes.
