How old is the new forum?

Looking around as I tend to do, I think I see posts back to about 2018. This would account for the seemingly low post count by even the prolific members.

So the entire Gazette was wiped out before that? I mean that's a "Wow!" With all the hacking and bots today you just don't know.

Also, how long am I going to have to fill out the form to post? Not that I mind. I see the reason clearly. I appreciate that this forum is actively looking for bots and spam.

2018 sounds about right. IIRC the server farm that hosted the site died and took the backup with it. So it had to start all over. And I seem to remember we started up again and had to shut down right away. Dont recall exactly why that time. Some of the guys were able to repost some threads that they had saved on their local machine but most everything else was lost. A lot of good content gone for good.

I'm not sure how many posts before you get out of the sign in mess. maybe 5 or 10. Not sure exactly but its not a lot.
