Everything ie: drill presses, lathes, mills, saws, sanders, presses, grinders, buffers etc.
Lets see them all at work and home.

A good old DoAll bandsaw pic would be awesome if someone had an old monster one.

We use a big Sundstrand belt sander like this one in the shop at work.  (we can't take pics at work!)

It's 240 volt, liquid cooled and is a workhorse.  It does a lot of work in any given day.

I'll bet that can really remove a lot of skin very quickly if you're not paying attention.

Not near as snazzy as a certain Aussie's, but here's my 16

here are some of my "go to" tools. All are good Taiwanese quality tools

The drill press is an ENCO 17" model and it has been with me since the late 90's. It was B-Day gift from my wife --

The 6x48" x12" disc/belt sander was a Harbor Freight model that they sold for many years throughout the 80's and 90's. It has never been down and will remove metal very fast. I use it more than any other sander in my shop. Here is a pic of when it was purchased new -- fresh out of the box over two decades ago. HF doesn't sell it any more[ which is a shame because for $200 this was a real bargain.

The bandsaw is an HF woodworking model that was converted for metal use through a reduction pulley system. Works very well on steel

I guess I'll put them up as I feel like it.

South Bend 9A x 4 1/2' circa 1964. Taper attachment, two speed countershaft, other usual stuff.

Nice shear. A pneumatic version would be the tops.

Heinrich punch

Push me-pull you grinder I built back in high school when I only had one motor. Belt sander worked OK, but lacked crown on the wheels.

Ultra precision drill grinder

$20 homemade 6x48 belt sander

I'll play. First off is the Rockwell/Delta 20" drill press. It has a 120V Craftsman motor that has adjustable speeds and reverse.
2nd is the Buffalo No. 15 drill press w/1725 motor. This sees the most use as a hole deburrer using a countersink.

Next up is the wife's Burr King 2"x60" belt sander. This is an oldie but sometimes ran 8hrs per day deburring parts. I can still get replacement wheels from Burr King even though this is an early BurrMaster model.
2nd is a CM 6" block grinder. I would not build a stand like that but it came from the shop contents I bought looking like that.

A lot slower, but can keep it's own on the right job. It will happily do the same slotting or similar operation over and over all day with very little babysitting. You can be running other operations simultaneously on other machines while it chugs along.

Then there's oddball jobs where it shines. Things that would be unpleasant on a vertical machine. Like this bore.

We had a Pexto shear like that but not as nice. It sat in the yard for years as our workers comp insurance wouldn't allow us to use it. I traded it and an old scary mechanical Mubea ironworker to a dealer for an old Blanchard grinder as a parts machine. One day I had a crash on our Blanchard which resulted in a busted gear on the table drive. Pulled the gear box and replaced it with the one from the parts machine. A new gear from Blanchard was way too much money and downtime.
