Wrist watches.
« on: November 30, 2018, 05:38:01 PM »
I'm tired of going for my cell phone every time I want to know what time it is.

I'm looking to get a wrist watch to wear when not working.

What does everyone else wear?

I haven't worn a wrist watch regularly since I've carried a cell phone. But I do have a nice Seiko to wear.

Mine is having some wearibility issues right now.  Much prefer a watch to getting the time from the phone.

Been wearing this one the last 15 years or so. Sometimes remember to take it off when I'm working...................

Since I don't carry a Tool of Satan, I have 3 watches I alternate.

A Feb. 1967 Benrus military wind-up 'hack' watch; a Victorinox Swiss Army battery-powered watch; and a Timex Expedition battery-powered watch.

A high school pal used to call me 'Spock' because I always had the correct time.  ;D

If I had money, I'd have a nice, basic Rolex - none of that diamond encrusted crap. Always have coveted one.

I have three but mostly wear a Bulova my wife gave me. She also gave me a Fossil which I like but like the Bulova better.
People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.

While working at the hardware store I usually justed looked a t one of the several clocks they had. Then started carrying the cell phone, just in case I was busy and couldn't see a clock. Then the new mandate came down about no cell phones on the floor, so I looked around for a watch. The wife had a Timex Indiglo and I liked it's features. Found a mans version for $6 at a pawnie and it's been used now for about a year and a half.

Plus, the wife and I match! And in movie theaters we can activate our soft blue glow watch faces.  :-*

I can't stand to wear a wrist watch or a ring. I've tried but usually take it off and put in the glove box.

Whatever Timex that's cheap. Sometimes plastic band and sometimes a metal band. Get about a year out of them before they're torn up.

Everything seems to have a place for TOD to be displayed. Not worn a watch for a number of years now, hell no one is on time anyway .

Without wearing one, still on time or early .

Around here it is tough to find a place that has a clock on the wall. The restaurants in the casinos don't have one and the casinos don't either. That is on purpose so a customer can't see a clock and decide it is time to leave. You won't find them in Vegas either.

I just go to Walmart and buy a good looking $10 watch. I can get 3-4 years out of one before it's so beat up I have to get a new one.
