What is the cabling config. spring, pulley and cabal along the door rails? Spring in a tube or externally wrapped over it. Mounted on the front header, take up reels on each end?
For me that would be the pro or me repair qualifier. The later being best to call another in.
Learned something, RTP a while back. If a header mount has the spring on the outside, it should be serviced as in WD40 or one's preferred lube, yearly.
Of course there are lots of squirt on magic formulas available, personally prefer the dry lubes for the GDs
BTW one should raise the GD before driving thru it ..
