Who else will be wearing a Halloween costume ?
« on: October 31, 2018, 02:11:48 PM »
I won't be going anywhere, but Halloween is my favorite holiday so I always wear a costume of my own creation while handing out candy.
Whether I'm simply greeting trick or treaters at the door or waiting to jump out at them ( sometimes doing so is a pita so I just answer the door ) I always like some scare factor to Halloween, I find it makes up for all the lame store bought super hero and princess costumes  ;)
Halloween should be scary so I always wear as scary of a costume as I can think up, even if it goes over kids heads and they don't understand my costume 100% they are generally scared none the less.

If you will be wearing a Halloween costume this year, let's see it.

Here's mine.

I put on my "cranky old man" costume before heading out to the grocery store this morning. Several people commented I looked scary!  :))

My wife told me yesterday after a heated exchange at a garage sale that Halloween was over and I should take off the cranky old man costume. I replied that the suit was so comfortable I forgot that I still had it on!  :D

The scary thing for kids is the thought that you might be giving away raisins  ;D

Sadly, we don't get any little ghosts and goblins in my little neighborhood anymore. When we moved here in 2005 there were lots of kids, but now they're all grown and the houses never changed hands to young families with little ones. Last year we had two kids show up and they were the neighbors visiting family members. Tonight we'll be lucky to to see one or two goblins.

Oh well, such is life!

I'm having a cigar and a beer on the porch waiting just in case they show up. I'm just wearing my regular "Harry Homeowner" coverall costume -- LOL

That sucks.
I usually get maybe 35 kids max, used to be more but it's better than nothing.
Only a few houses in the neighborhood even decorate, but most everyone goes to the two large divisions of new houses so maybe people in the neighborhood stopped caring.

No, a wig would have covered up my bald spot and no amount of make-up could fill my wrinkles!  :D

We don't get any kids anymore. For a few years a bunch of big church vans would bring inter city kids out .

Not many kids in our area may get one or two door knocks. But nothing worth dressing up for.

A couple years ago it was pouring down rain and i knew there'd be little to none, but I love Halloween so much I dressed up anyways.
I guess I'm crazy.

We never get kids here no need to get dressed up. The first few years we lived here we bought candy to give away but I ended up eating it all. So I'll just hang around with my feet up on the couch.
People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.

I always wondered why I never saw Paul Halloween masks after that movie came out, it was hilarious.

20+ years ago did go to a few parties with a costume, and wore something or other when I escorted daughter around town.   41 years in the house and never had a single trick or treater.   This year I even left the new porch lights on.  Think it might because not many know the road back here actually goes somewhere.

No kids here as they could walk for an hour and maybe hit 10 or 12 houses. The park downtown was packed with families with bounce houses and games set up for the kids. That is the best way to do it in a rural area. The waitress at dinner was happy that I recognized her costume. She was dressed and made up just like Wednesday from the Addams Family. She would have been a perfect match if the kid would have weighed 250lbs. :D
