Everyone used to the time change yet?
« on: November 12, 2018, 10:05:44 PM »
Waking up to find it already daylight,  can't figure out what time it is til I look at the clock.    Evenings are getting too long,  feels like 10 when it is only 7:45.   Nobody else having problems?

Used to it? I haven't even changed all the clocks and watches.  :D

California just passed a proposition giving the state legislature the authority to end DST and stay on standard time all year. I am so hoping they will use that charge to finally end that silliness.
People who confuse etymology and entomology bug me in ways I can’t put into words.

We are now in DST since the end of September and it ends at the beginning of April (six months). When I was in high school in the 80's DST was only four months long. It was extended to six months in 2006/07 summer and has 80%+ support.

OnS,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you got me :))

Doesn't really bother me that much.  I like getting up early and I like the early light.   But, I am going to bed earlier now, will adjust easy enough

Not a problem, doesn't matter one way or the other to me.

Animals have no clue what DST is. They expect to be fed on their regular schedule. My only problem with it getting dark early is that I can't leave the gate open for the wife to come home from work. I don't want any coyotes coming through the gate.

I grew up in southern Indiana which at the time did not participate in DST. I hate DST, it was a good idea in the times of wale oil lamps and candles but the only reason we still have it today is so the city folks can get all 18 holes in before dark in the summer.

The only difference in our house is the dog's routine - she has her time for her morning constitutional and the first few days she woke us up early to get out. Now she's adjusted again.

It's killing me. Now I wake up at 4am, the dog wakes up at 4am, its dark by 5pm, I want to go to bed at 9pm and the cycle repeats.

Only difference I notice it's brighter in the morning when I leave the house, and it's dark when I come back
