Smoking a cigar by the fire on this lovely fall evening. Smores are ready to go.

The firepit was a success. Lots of fun last night having some adult beverages around a roaring fire with temps near freezing.

I got up early to catch a few warm rays before the weather turns ugly later today. A Blanco Primo Sumatra is a perfect choice.

Happy weekend!

Any fish in that pond?
Is the need enough? Or does the want suffice?

Sure -- the lake is stocked with bass, carp, and crappie. The bass range on the smaller side, but the carp are HUGE -- as long as my arm.
It's a smaller lake, and I venture to guess about 100 acres total. Good enough for swimming, fishing and boating.

Why carp? aren't they invasive?

Not sure why; never bothered to ask, but I guess they do help keep the lake clean. Lots of folks here fish for them (not to eat, but simply as sport). Apparently it takes a completely different technique to fish for carp vs. bass. That said, I'm new to this fishing thing and the only fish I've caught are 1-2lb bass.

Blanco Primos are mild/medium bodied and very flavorful. Great morning cigar.
Cool and brisk— and most of all, quiet.

I’ve mentioned these Cuban La Flor de Cano Petite Corona cigars many times over the years. They are budget priced Cubans and a little harsh when fresh…..BUT when aged a year or two, these little gems are smooth and very flavorful.

Lovely brisk morning, and time to take advantage of the sunshine. Baccarat in size Toro.

Don’t smoke too many of these. EPOCA -
It’s a good cigar, but too mild and airy for my  taste. It’s a good morning cigar, but the dominating flavors are hay and earth. Not too  exciting.
