GENERAL TOOL AND MACHINE DISCUSSION / Re: got to tour the channellock plant!
« Last post by pep on Today at 06:10:21 AM »
The finish & construction of the Channellock plier is night & day side by side with the hf knockoff.  At the time I was unable to find the tool, thought they were no longer made.

The knockoff is lighter, ruffer, and overall operatation is raggedy ass. The user fights the tool to use it.

A month ago picked up the Channellock plier, amazing quality differences, knockoff ended up in a land fill

If O gage is the future,  then I have been leading the charge for decades! LOL  :))

Èverything I have is sleeping in boxes waiting to chug. A mixture of S gauge American Flyer, and O and O-27 3 rail post war Lionel.

Did you know that the Lionel cars, and still stand today, have build dates?

I didn't know anything about build dates at all.  COOL!

Very nice! I've found Channelock to be a great company.

Sent from my twisted mind of the mudman

GENERAL TOOL AND MACHINE DISCUSSION / got to tour the channellock plant!

last Friday I traveled to PA for a locksmithing class Sat-Sun. I reached out to Channellock to see if I could see their operations and they happily obliged. While I could not take any pictures in the factory itself, you can find some videos on their official YT page.
Here are some shots in the office.

What's Elroy's take on those over engineered spray paint cans? No wonder the can gets smaller and the price goes up...

I'd guess and say the GPS guided tractors save fuel, seed, fertilizer, pesticides etc

This stuff adds up way faster than it used to!

AND another $100 of miscellaneous crap. Pardon me, it was ONLY $96.81

At least Elroy got the quad shock mounts blasted before running out of sand.
