My brother is building “In-law Quarters” with a conventional foundation and we were discussing whether or not the framing of the floor under the bathroom needs to be any different than the rest of the floor. The building is expected to be a simple 12x40. I don’t see why a bathroom with just a shower would need anything special but a tub full of water might. But I can’t say I’ve ever noticed anything special about the few houses I’ve been under.
What would you do?
