There's a cheapo tool store I sometimes shop at for consumables ( they started with a flea market booth and expanded to a store location as well ) and they've got these bins full of NOS sockets for $1 a piece. Mostly blackhawk, Thorsen, unknown USA, and Husky.
I picked these two up.
A Blackhawk 12mm for my main 1/4 set, and an EASCO 3/4 drive 1/4 bit adapter simply because they had it.
Too bad they didn't have an mm Blackhawk socket.

I also picked up an old Craftsman Reel mower from my mom that's missing the roller.

Yeah, you can't have too many 1/4" bit drivers around.

I thought they were good for $1 a piece.
I've never seen a 3/8 dr bit adapter before, so I had to pick it up.

3/8 adapters are not very common. Good to have.

I was thinking about when I'd ever need to drive screws with a 3/8 ratchet, but I do have something in mind.
I have some hex shank drill bits around somewhere, and with this and those bits I guess i cuuld turn my speeder into a makeshift brace.
Whatever I do, I know I've got it if I ever needed it.

I also picked up an old Craftsmans manual reel mower to tinker on, and an old rusty tool box I'm just going to store junk in , and a couple kitchen knives for 69¢ a piece at Goodwill.
I keep getting an lucky with ECKO flint knives though, I really like them, but whenever I get one up at Goodwill it looks straight till I get home and take the tape off to notice a slight bend somewhere.
I must be OCD or something because every time I can never ignore the bend and they snap when I try to straighten them.
At least the German made boning knoce was in an excellent very slightly used condition.

Less about need for a 3/8 drive ratchet more about convenience and flexability. If you have 3/8 stuff out and it's quicker than grabbing the 1/4. Or perhaps using a palm ratchet with the bits.

Sounds about right.
Oh I'm probably going to to have my work cut out for me with the Craftsman reel mower.
The model number is worn off the badge, so I won't be able to find a schematic to get an idea of what I need to do to potentially cobble together a roller of some kind for the back.
I figure I need to know what the original looked like and how it adjusted so I have some idea of what to do.
