It was a pile of 12" I beam cut to length and designed by my boss. Add in a shit ton of steel plate 3/8" to 1" and six kilos of welding rod it became a press. The table can be lifted and lowered but is captive in the frame. As in welded to a non removable part unless its cut out.
In the uses the table and upper beam have arced away from each other. It has never needed any frame repair.
Previously I had never used a welder for more than a practice bead. That shows a bit.
