As far as I know these have been made in the USA for decades.
Snap on is also pushing their new vise grips which are the original Peterson patent they bought.
They are nice but pricey as everything else with their logo.
My rep says backorders are still a constant thing. He's been waiting on impact sockets for almost a year and half now.

Up until recently these were made by Bahco in Sweden.
As far as the locking pliers the word is that they bought the eagle grip patents and tooling...etc but I didn't find anything concrete and official yet.
And maybe I just don't know how things work but shouldn't the price be a little lower if they're manufacturing these themselves now?
They were charging a huge markup before on the Malco rebrands, but making them in house should allow for a price reduction.
