Does anyone know what oil filters I need? NAPA doesn't have an entry in their computer for a Detroit 4-71.

I'm pretty sure there are two canister oil filters, one larger, horizontal, near the radiator end of the engine, one smaller, vertical, near the flywheel end. If anyone has NAPA or other part numbers for those, it would surely be helpful.

ŴÒW, I started buying what I could afford at 16 and never stopped. I never had deep pockets so pawn shops, flea markets, and used found in the classified ads was my primary hunting ground then. I bought new Craftsman when I could afford to.

Funny thing, I went to a site called Tite reach that sells the chain drive extensions that Snap-on used to sell 15-20 years ago for ago briefly and they also sell a version of the same device being discussed here.

:-[ now I see the 8.8 was inches.

I was thinking liters. And hell yeah, Elroys putting a mountain motor in a Fox body.  _hitting: My mistake.

Elroy is going to pass on 537 cubes. the 5 liter roller motor is just fine. the problem is the 2.73 ratio, marginal strength 7.5 INCH carrier.
Could you educate this young whipper snapped....

What are they measuring when they get the number because I've heard of the 9 inch rear end before but never looked into why they called them that.

It's funny that you hardly ever hear anything about the Handee clamp.
Tite reach introduced their Taiwanese knockoff and people still talk about it like it the greatest thing since sliced bread.
It's all over YouTube and few people seen to realize that it's an imported knockoff of the American made Handee clamp that often costs a few bucks less.
I'm guessing they probably sent a bunch of free ones out to all the popular tool channels.

I have a Handee clamp on my list,  but just haven't bought one yet.
